Survey Spin Review Worth Your Time

Survey Spin Review: Worth Your Time?

Survey Spin is a free app and website that pays people for taking surveys, along with smaller extras like daily polls and referral bonuses. It’s made by SocialLoop LLC, runs on iOS, Android, and a web dashboard.

Signing up is simple you register with an email address and fill out a short profile age, income, shopping habits, that kind of thing which the app uses to match you with surveys you’re likely to qualify for.

How Earning works

Once you’re set up, available surveys show up on a dashboard with the reward and estimated time listed upfront. Pick one, and you’ll typically start with a round of screening questions before the actual survey starts.

This is where many users report the most frustration, reviewers consistently describe a high disqualification rate, meaning you can spend several minutes on screener questions only to get bounced with nothing.

Some people getting disqualified is normal on survey apps, but it happens so often on Survey Spin that it’s one of the biggest complaints from users.

From what I’ve seen on the platform and the user experiences I’ve read, most surveys pay between $0.15 and $1.25, although longer surveys can pay more. The rewards aren’t very high, so I wouldn’t expect to earn a significant amount from a single survey.

Getting paid

The minimum cash-out is $5, on the low end for this category. You can withdraw through PayPal, direct deposit (US only), a prepaid Visa card, or gift cards.

Based on the reviews I found, the first withdrawal may take up to three business days because it’s manually reviewed. Some users also reported being asked to verify their identity or PayPal account before receiving their payment, especially after they had earned a larger balance.

App store vs. Trustpilot

Here’s the most useful thing to know, Survey Spin looks strong on the app stores, sitting around 4.6 stars on Google Play and 4.7 on the Apple App Store across tens of thousands of ratings.

On Trustpilot, though, where people tend to write longer, more specific reviews, it sits closer to 2 out of 5 Trustpilot’s own “Poor” tier.

After reading many of those reviews, I noticed a common pattern. Users who cashed out small amounts early often reported a smooth experience.

On the other hand, some users said they ran into problems after earning more money. Common complaints included delayed verification, slow or unresponsive customer support, and withdrawal requests that took much longer than expected.

That doesn’t mean nobody gets paid; plenty of reviewers confirm real PayPal and gift card payouts. It just means the app-store rating alone doesn’t tell the full story.

My Final Thoughts

Survey Spin is a legitimate way to earn a little extra cash in spare minutes, not a scam in the sense that people do get paid. But it’s not a meaningful income source and I will not recommend this platform as it is not worth your time.

The disqualification rate will test your patience, and the gap between how it’s rated on app stores versus Trustpilot is wide enough that you shouldn’t expect payouts to always be as smooth as the marketing promises especially once you’re withdrawing regularly instead of just once.
